We were absolutely delighted to welcome back former pupil, Terry Devlin, to a special assembly to acknowledge and celebrate his recent signing with Portsmouth FC.
Terry spent 8 years with us in our nursery and primary school, during which time, he could be seen daily honing his natural flair and skills on the playground during break and dinner times. He put on the Holy Trinity blue jersey many, many times and successfully represented the school at numerous tournaments and blitzes. His passion for the game and his skills and intuition as a team player always made him one to watch on the pitch.
His former principal, Mr Devlin RIP, placed his photo on the school wall (where it still hangs) and said he knew Terry would have a very bright future ahead and that we would be seeing him playing professionally in the not too distant future. He wasn’t wrong.
Miss Devlin was thrilled to invite Terry back for this celebration and to tell him how proud we all are of his achievements and also of the young gentleman he has become. On behalf of the whole school community, she made a presentation to Terry and reminded him that we will continue to champion him as his burgeoning career continues to soar.
Good luck Terry as you go on to wear another blue jersey with Portsmouth FC. We wish you every success in the future and in this next stage of your career.
