At Holy Trinity Primary School we pride ourselves on providing a safe, happy and stimulating environment from Nursery level through to Primary 7. We strive to help our children grow in confidence and work purposefully to a realistically high standard, developing and achieving to the best of their individual abilities.
Here at Holy Trinity Primary School we enjoy a strong partnership between home and school, the Church and the local community. We are proud of our good name, our high standards and the excellent pastoral care that exists within the school.
What a fantastic term it’s been for our SPiM classes! The children have worked incredibly hard developing their Literacy and Numeracy skills through practical, sensory-based learning. 📚✨
They’ve also loved exploring their topics ‘Under the Sea’ and ‘World Travellers’ through Outdoor Learning, ICT, and Activity Based Learning 🌍🌊.
A big highlight was our exciting Sports Day. The boys and girls had so much fun taking part in all the races! 🏃♀️🏃♂️ They’ve also been keeping active every day with their Daily Mile around the Fr Rocks pitch.
To top it all off, our end-of-year trip to Happy Dayz Play Centre was a huge success 🎉 From the ball pit to the long drop slide and football pitch, there were smiles all around!
Well done to all our amazing pupils for a brilliant year, we are so proud of you all! 👏💙
🌍 Celebrating Diversity at Holy Trinity 🌍
We were delighted to welcome our parents and families and guests from Step and the Mid Ulster Council to a very special assembly as part of Refugee Week.
Our Language Buddies and a selection of our Newcomer/EAL pupils with worked incredibly hard to prepare and deliver inspiring performances in music, drama and dance. We are so proud of their confidence, teamwork and enthusiasm.
The assembly celebrated our diverse school community, reminding us all of the importance of kindness, courage and belonging. It was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the richness of different cultures, experiences and talents and reflect on how we can support one another.
Grateful thanks to Step and the Mid Ulster Council for helping to fund the event and a heartfelt thanks to everyone who joined us—it made the occasion even more special for the children.
P7 Leavers’ Mass 2026
Today we celebrated a memorable P7 Leavers’ Mass, marking this group of children’s time in Holy Trinity Primary School as it draws to a close. It was a beautiful and reflective ceremony as we wished them well for the next stage of their journey.
A sincere thank you to Deacon Quinn for leading the Mass, and to Fr. Boyle and Fr. McNally for their continued support throughout the year.
The Primary Five group had a wonderful morning participating in an engaging eco-art workshop facilitated by Jake.
The children thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to work with natural materials such as charcoal, grass and sticks, using them creatively to design their own beautiful horizon pictures.
It was fantastic to see their enthusiasm, imagination, and connection with nature – and most importantly, how much fun they had throughout the experience.

P7 Bake Sale – A Sweet Success! 🍰✨
Today’s P7 Bake Sale was a fantastic celebration of creativity, teamwork, and budding enterprise skills. Our Primary 7 pupils took real ownership of the event by planning, preparing, organising, and running their stalls with impressive confidence. It was a brilliant hands on way for them to develop their understanding of enterprise skills and experience what it means to turn an idea into something real.
The rest of the school loved visiting the stalls and sampling the delicious sweet treats 😋🧁. There was a real buzz throughout the day, and the excitement from pupils of all ages made the event even more special.
A huge thank you to all parents and guardians for your support — whether through baking, donating, or encouraging the children. Your involvement helped make the bake sale a wonderful success 👏
A huge congratulations to our wonderful Pupil Eco-Council who have helped Holy Trinity achieve another Green Flag award!
The award was presented at the Green Flag Award Ceremony in Pomeroy Forest yesterday, Monday 15th June and is a fantastic recognition of the commitment, enthusiasm and hard work shown by our pupils, staff and wider school community.
From recycling initiatives, climate change awareness days and outdoor learning to planting, growing, reducing waste and caring for our local environment, our Eco-Council continues to lead by example and inspire others across the school.
We are incredibly proud of our pupils for helping to make our school and community a greener, cleaner place.
Mrs Conlan’s Primary 4 class had a fabulous day on their end of year trip to Drum Manor Forest Park 🌳🌞
A huge thank you to Lynn and Liz from the Forestry Service NI, who were excellent guides and taught us so many new things about the forest and its wildlife. We spotted lots of animals and insects, including damsel flies, bumblebees, ducklings, a wood pigeon, moorhen and even a froghopper bug!
The children enjoyed making bird nests, exploring for bugs and insects and finished off the day with some fun climbing in the play area. What a fantastic day 😊
