P7 Internet Safety Workshop
8th Feb 2024
Our P7 Internet Safety Workshop was a great success. Led by experienced educators and internet safety experts, the activity equipped our P7s with the knowledge and skills they need to navigate the online world safely.
Through activities, games, and discussions, children learned about important topics such as:
Identifying Safe Websites: They were taught how to recognize trustworthy websites and avoid potentially harmful ones.
Personal Information Protection: Children understood the importance of keeping personal information private and how to safeguard it online.
Cyberbullying Awareness: We discussed what cyberbullying is, its effects, and strategies for dealing with it.
Safe Social Media Practices: Children learned the basics of using social media responsibly and how to interact safely with others online.
Online Stranger Danger: We explored the concept of online strangers and how to stay safe when communicating with people they don't know.
This experience was highly interactive, with plenty of opportunities for children to ask questions, share their experiences, and demonstrate the skills they had learned. By the end of the session, our P7s felt empowered to make smart choices online and stay safe in the digital world. It was truly a rewarding experience, ensuring the children can enjoy all the benefits of the internet while staying protected.
