The Kindness Postbox
This year the Primary 7year group are participating in The Kindness Postbox project. The aim of the project is to bring little bursts of happiness to the most isolated in our society. Through the project, we are linked with the residents of Fairfield’s Nursing Home in Cookstown.
During the month of December, the children were very busy designing and writing their own Christmas cards, baubles and letters. When the Kindness Postbox arrived in school, they were extremely excited to post their messages in the hope of bringing a little joy to someone special. In early January, the children received their replies from the residents. The video below is a little snapshot of the wonderful project.
Many thanks to Cookstown Council who very kindly donated a Christmas selection box for every pupil in the school!
The boys and girls were all delighted!
